Yasser Saeed Al-Qahtani (Arabic: ياسر القحطاني; born 10 October 1982) is a Saudi Arabian footballer who plays as a striker currently on loan with U.A.E. Al-Ain FC captains of the Saudi Arabian national team. In 2005, he became the most expensive Footballer in the history of Saudi Arabia moving to Al-Hilal for a record 23 million SR.

International career
He played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup where he scored a goal against Tunisia, which marked his great movement and composure in front of goal. He also played in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup where he was named the top goalscorer of the competition. Apart from this, he was the youngest Saudi captain ever, leading the national team to the final, while also being the top scorer in the competition.
Al-Qahtani is Ranked highly in The World's Top Goal Scorers 2007 by International Federation of Football History & Statistics. He currently boasts an impressive 59 goals for Saudi Arabia. He captained Saudi Arabia in the Gulf Cup 2009. He helped Saudi reach the final where they lost to hosts Oman on penalties. Yasser Al Qahtani failed to help Saudi Arabia qualify for the 2010 World cup, where Bahrain were able to level the score in the dying moments of the closely contested match.
